Hi togehter, we've installed GFI Faxmaker 12 on an existing ExchangeServer (Win2000). Sending over NetprintQueue2Fax is working fine but we've a problem to send fax via Text-API. I don't want to install a complete office system on the server, so i've installed only the viewer for word, excel and powerpoint. The conversion of excel files works fine, but the conversion of word and powerpoint will give the error '1701: Document Conversion Timeout. Ensure that the FAXmaker printer driver on the server machine is installed on the GFIFAX port and is set up as default printer.
Check that the application program is installed on the server and that there is association to print with the files.' I've checked all the parameters - they are all ok. Is it possible to use only the viewer versions or must office be installed as a complete version on the system?
Regards Chris. Hi Patrazia, for testing i've installed now the 'complete' office package (excel, word, ppt). After restarting the server i test the text-api with getting the following results: xls = same error message as before doc = same error message as before ppt = works fine (but only one time, after that the same error comes up) after that i made the test you said. Right click on the file, select print (default printer is faxmaker). The result was: xls = file popups and close automaticly doc = file popups and close automaticly ppt = file popups and printer properties was shown regards Chris January 14, 2005, 10:08 AM: Message edited by: krischi.
